I have traced my ancestry from France to Scotland, I believe my family probably migrated to Briton with William the Conqueror. An old document in my grandfather's papers has the name in different spellings as if someone were deciding which to use, Maeson, Mayson, Mason, etc. These three generations are uncertain.
