THOMAS10 MASON (JOHN9, JOHN8, WILLIAM7, THOMAS6, RICHARD5, THOMAS4, THOMAS3, EDWARD2, WILLIAM1)1,2 was born March 07, 1721/22 in Hanover County, Virginia3,4, and died 1768 in Halifax County North Carolina. He married ELIZABETH TURNER5,6 Abt. 17506. She was born October 01, 17337,8, and died October 06, 1784.

Thomas Mason received a land grant from the king of England of 400 acres of land in Edgecombe County, North Carolina in 1744. His son, Turner11 Mason, was born there and was the ancestor who fought in the Revolutionary War and eventually settled the family in Georgia. His son, William Lowe12 Mason, had a plantation known as Clay Hill prior to the Civil War. His son, James T.13 Mason, died during the Civil War at Vicksburg, Mississippi. Our line would not have continued except that he had a child, James D.14 Mason, one year prior to his death. ... James?? MASON, ??
