Henry Warren to Shadrack Warren
This Indenture made and entered into this fifteenth day of August One
Thousand Eight Hundred and Twenty Five between Henry Warren, Sr. of the
County of Beaufort and State of North Carolina of the one part and Shadrick
Warren of the County of Beaufort and State of North Carolina of the other
part;
Witnesseth that I the said Henry Warren Sr. for and in consideration of the
love and good-will I have and bear unto my son Shaderick Warren and other
good causes hereunto me myself have given granted and delivered unto the
said Shadrick Warren his heirs and assigns forever all my right title and
claim to a certain piece of parcel of land lying and being in the County of
Beaufort and State of North Carolina and on the west side of Chocowinity
beginning at a pine saplin or tree running S. 84 West 77 poles then North 58
West 100 poles then North 17 deg East 100 poles then 5. 88 East 127 poles
then with a direct line South to the begining containing One hundred and
Twenty five acres of land with all and every appurtenances thereunto
belonging unto him the said Shaderick Warren his heirs and assigns forever
and the said Henry Warren Sr for myself my heirs and assigns will maintain
and forever defend the afsd. given premises unto him, the said Shaderick
Warren, his heirs and assigns forever against the lawful claim of any person
or persons whatsoever. In witness whereof I have hereunto set my hand and

THIS INDENTURE made this 12th day of January 1792, Between Matthias Eastwood of the County of Beaufort & State of North Carolina of the one part and Samuel Hodges of the same place of the other part: Witnesseth, that for his consideration of the sum of two hundred pounds to me in hand paid before the sealing of these presents doth give grant and convey unto the said Samuel Hodges, him, his heirs and assigns one certain lot or half acre of land lying and being in the Town of Washington and distinguished in the place of said Town by No. 45 together with the privileges & appurtenances thereto belonging, of the said Samuel Hodges his heirs & assigns forever: and the said Matthias Eastwood for himself his Exors and against all and every other persons shall & will warrant, defend by these presents. To all people to whom these presents shall come greetings.
Know ye that I MICHAEL KING in the county of Beaufort & province of North
Carolina for & in consideration of the sum of eleven (?) pounds Virginia
Currency to me in hand paid by WILLIAM ARCHDEACON of the county & province
afs’d the rec’t whereof I do hereby acknowledge have given parceled bargained
& sold & by these presents do fully & absolutely give grant bargain sell
convey & confirm unto William Archdeacon his heirs & assignee’s forever a
certain tract of land on the east side of Coneto Creek, butted and bounded
to wit beginning at a Gum in Samuel Wiggins’ line thence S. 160 pole to a Red
Oak , then E. 176 pole to a Red Oak, then No. 20 E. 60 pole, then No. 20 W.
24 pole, then No. 10 E. 66 pole to a branch & with the branch to Wiggins’ line
& with Sd. Line S. 57 W. 220 pole to the first Station being part of a tract
of land as by deed bearing date the 11th of May containing 240 acres.
To have and to hold the said land premises & appurtenances to the said William
Archdeacon his heirs & assignees forever to his & their use and I said Michael
King for myself my Exors. & Administrators do Covenant & agree to & with the
said William Archdeacon his heirs & assignees that before the ensealing I am
the lawful owner of the premises & have a good right & lawful authority to
convey the premises in manner aforesaid to William Archdeacon his heirs &
assignees at all times hereafter Shall have hold possess & enjoy the
bargained premises free & clear Of all encumbrances whatsoever & I the said
Michael King do bind myself, my heirs Exors. & Admst. Firmly by these presents
to warrant & defend the said land & premises against the lawful claim of all
persons whatsoever.

To all people to whom these presents shall come I MICHAEL KING of the
province of North Carolina in Bertie County, for the consideration of
the sum of Seventy pounds proc. money to me in hand paid by WILLIAM
ARCHDEACON of Beaufort County and province afs’d, the receipt whereof
I do hereby acknowledge have bargained sold aligned enfeoffed conveyed
& confirmed & by these presents do freely & absolutely bargain sell &
enfeoff convey & confirm unto him the said William Archdeacon his heirs
& assignees, two parcels of land in the county afs’d, by estimation 160
acres more or less, beginning at a pine at the mouth of Wiggins’ branch
on the east side of Coneto Creek up the said branch S. 15. E. 160 pole to
a pine, thence N. 65 E. to the center of three pines, then N 25 W. 160
poles to Coneto Creek to a Gum, thence down the meanders of the creek to
the first Station, as by patent to JOHN SPIERS, dated 11 day of June 1738.
Also another parcel of land in the county & province afs’d & containing
120 acres more or less beginning at a pine a corner of the above mentioned
Patent running the various courses of the above s’d Creek to the mouth of
the Pine log (?), thence up the said branch to the back line, then No. 50
E. 54 pole to a pine on the pocoson in the said line & with the said line
No. 25 W. 116 pole to the first Station. To have and to hold the afs’d
bargained premises with the appurtenances to the same belonging to him the
said William Archdeacon his heirs & assignees for ever to his & their
proper use benefit & behoof for ever; and I the said Michael King for me
& my heirs Exor’s. & Admn’s. Do covenant & grant to & with the said William
Archdeacon his heirs & assignees that before the ensealing & delivery of these
presents I am the true & lawful owner of the afs’d bargained premises and am
possessed of the same as an inheritance in fee

unto the said Wm. Archdeacon his heirs & assignees forever, against the claims
of all persons whatsoever.
